Calling all Northampton worship leaders

Next venue: Astcote Methodist Church

Each month, worship leaders from our town meet together to pray, to worship, and to support and encourage each other. If you lead, or help to lead, worship in a church in or around Northampton, we warmly invite you to join us.

God has certainly used WIN to grow Northampton's worship ministry. In 2008, two churches approached us, asking us to provide worship leaders for them, both to take the load off the minister and to encourage musicians within the congregation to come forward and develop their own ministry. We also worked with Churches Together in the planning and management of Faithfest, and supplied most of the in-house musicians ("in emergency, break glass and grab a guitarist") for that event. There are also indications that God has something a little bigger than Faithfest in store for us, but it's a bit early to give details at this stage.

Our next meeting will be at 7:30pm on Friday 17th July, at Astcote Methodist Church. You can use your favourite mapping Web site to find it - the postcode is NN12 8NW

What's it all about?

WIN started meeting together in June 2008. If you'd like to know more about where we've been so far and what we've done, check the 'about us' page.

You'll be able to learn new songs, share and re-vitalise old ones, build relationships, discover new musical tools and techniques, learn more (or teach others) about how to get the best out of modern technology, and much much more - but most importantly, you'll be in a worship environment where you can take a break from being the musical equivalent of a shepherd, and focus on pouring out your love for God in music, in fellowship with other musicians.

What's the latest?

Any new information will be posted here, as will any changes of details. So please check back here once a week or so, just in case we have something urgent to let you know about.
